Cost-effective gas storage facility for depressurized storage of biogas, sewage gas, and landfill gas.
Gas production relying on biological processes is not a continuous process. Therefore, – before gas utilization (i.e. in a CHP) – it is necessary to have a gas storage device to compensate fluctuations during the gas production and to bridge failure times for repair and maintenance work of the CHP. LIPP has developed a complete package system for depressurized (max. range 5 mbar) dry gas storage which has been applied successfully for more than 20 years now.
Depending on the gas yield, sizes between 30m3 and 5,000 m³ are available. The gas tank consists of two parts:
Bubble-shaped storage balloon
Protective steel tank, which protects the balloon from the weather and mechanical damage
The tanks are manufactured with the tried and tested LIPP double-fold system. The storage balloon, made of fabric-reinforced plastic, is hanging inside the tank by means of a supporting ring. A compressor increases the gas pressure to utilize the stored gas (i.e. in a CHP).
Key benefits:
A complete package system for gas collection, high functional and operational reliability
